Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born in Malibu. In her early years, she enjoyed being a performer in front of close family and friends. When she was eight, when she was enrolled by her mother into her first acting class. Her first acting role was in a minor role as an 'orphan who sings and dances in the film Annie directed by John Huston. Salenger is also part of some commercials on television. Salenger was cast as the lead in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney, which was a film starring John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film received the Moscow Film Festival's golden medal as the first movie made in America. It also won her "Best actor in a drama" as part of the Youth in Film Awards for her performance as the sexy Natty Gann. At the age of 18, she was cast in another four films, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. After that she relocated to Harvard for the purpose of continuing her education.
